English translation of MuKa’s speech in Tamil related to Rama Setu (excerpted below from the official DMK mouthpiece, Murasoli):
“To stop Setu channel project people who showed Ayodhya Rama want to show here. But, overcoming all this, people say that Rama is also our ally, Rama is not our enemy, Rama is also on our side. So saying today, the ordinary citizens are giving their support for the success of the project.”
It is heartening to note that Hon’ble MuKa is uttering Rama naamam.

MADURAI: Dwelling on the benefits of good Centre-state ties, Chief Minister M Karunanidhi on Sunday said a cordial relationship has brought several good schemes and benefits to Tamil Nadu and more achievements would be possible if it continued.
“By being congenial and amicable, the state as well as the Centre would benefit a lot, and both should work hard.”
He made these comments at the function organised to inaugurate the newly converted BG section between Manamadurai and Rameswaram and flagging-off the train service between Mananadurai and Rameswaram.
It was the cordial relationship with the Centre that brought the Rs 2427-crore Sethusamudharam project to Tamil Nadu,he said and expressed confidence that the project would be completed.
Though some people try to raise the issue of Lord Ram as they did in Ayodhya, “our people say Rama is our god and our associate also. With the cooperation of the people, the Sethusamudram project will be completed successfully.”
Another benefit of having good ties was that Tamil was declared a classical language and recently the Prime Minister had announced awards for Tamil Language scholars also, he said.
